Language/Communication Skills in Industry and Business - Report for Prolang/Finland

The Prolang project demonstrates what collaboration can do. Pirjo Väyrynen had been inspired by the European Commission in Brussels to start a Finnish project in occupational language teaching. She invited a group of people to discuss workplace communication and language teaching. From this simple conversation grew an exceptional blend of international contacts, a network of schools and companies and a network of volunteer language teachers. All of this became a practical research and development project, long hoped for in language teaching.
