Developing the planning of work-based learning by transferring and implementing existing good practices in Common Quality Assurance Framework.
Quality in VET has been actively developed in European cooperation during the recent years. Numerous good practices of work-based learning have been created in VET as results of innovative projects. The problem is that good practices are considered to depend strongly on their context. The successful transfer of the results seems to be difficult.
In Leonardo -project (2008 – 2010) will be developed tools and methods for sharing tacit knowledge associated with the good practices of work-based learning. The aims of the project are to develop the quality of work-based learning by:
- supporting the procedures of change
- using transfer of innovative good practices as a quality tool in partner countries
- finding critical points of processes of change
The main product of the project is the Manual for transfer and utilization of innovative good practices of work-based learning described in CQAF-framework. Especially the focus is on the planning phase of the work-based learning. The content of the Manual will help in the procedure of change. In the participating countries the national transfer strategy is drawn up in order to increase transfer of innovations and use of the Manual. The Manual will be published in English, Finnish, Dutch, Italian and Romanian languages.
The target groups in partner countries are VET providers, schools, training centres, workplaces, teachers and trainers. Learners and students at workplaces are the ultimately beneficiaries. The responsible coordinating partner is Finnish National Board of Education. Other partners are from Austria, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania.
