The scholarship can be granted to:
- Doctoral students, who have fled Ukraine due to the Russian attack to Ukraine after 24 February 2022 and who have a host university in Finland (incl. both Ukrainian citizens and international students who cannot return to their home country)
- Ukrainian doctoral students already in Finland
Priority can be given to candidates who have recently arrived to Finland.
The scholarship candidate should have completed a Master's degree. During the fellowship in Finland the students complete doctoral level studies either to Finland or to Ukraine.
All academic fields and all Finnish universities are eligible.
The fellowship period should begin within 6 months of the time of the application.
