The Master's level kindred peoples scholarship is intended for persons
- whose native tongue is one of the Finno-Ugric languages spoken in Russia or who have a command similar to a native speaker and have a Finno-Ugric family background
- and are meritorious students who study or will start the Master's level studies in a Finnish university
- or study on a Master's level at a university outside Finland (not in Russia or Belarussia)
- and who study Finno-Ugric languages and/or cultures
The scholarship period is for a maximum of six months. You can also apply for the grant for two or more shorter periods if this is more appropriate for your final thesis, as long as the total number of months does not exceed six.
The scholarship amount is € 1000/month.
There is no separate grant for travel costs. You should arrange and pay for your accommodation yourself.
