The Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) organises annual study days in Finland to teachers of Finnish language and/or culture in universities outside Finland. The aim of the study days is to inform teachers about the latest research in the field and offer practical teaching advice.
Due to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, teachers of Russian and Belarusian universities cannot attend study days in Finland or virtually for the time being.
Who can participate in the study days?
You can participate in the study days if
you teach Finnish language and/or culture in a university outside Finland, or
you will start teaching Finnish language and/or culture in a university outside Finland in the next academic year.

to learn about the latest research in Finnish language, culture, society and teaching Finnish as a second language
get practical teaching advice
network with colleagues working in different countries and universities.
Study days include lectures and workshops in relevant topics. Teachers sometimes also get an opportunity to present good practices used in their own universities.
Study days take place every year in August in different locations in Finland, often linked to a local university.
