EUN – European Schoolnet
European Schoolnet (EUN) is a non-profit network bringing together the ministries of education and educational authorities of more than 30 European countries. Its mission is to promote the digital transformation of education and to enhance the quality of education across Europe. The network works in close cooperation with education professionals, researchers, policymakers and industry partners. EUN’s activities focus on digital learning, STEAM education and teachers’ professional development.
European Schoolnet’s work comprises the following main areas:
Research
EUN carries out large-scale studies and surveys focusing on digital learning, teachers’ professional development and changes in education systems.
Teacher training
The European Schoolnet Academy provides teachers with online courses and professional learning opportunities covering a wide range of topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in education and education for sustainable development.
Projects
EUN coordinates several EU-funded projects, such as Scientix, which supports STEM education, and Agile Edu, which promotes the safe and responsible use of data in learning.
Working groups
EUN’s working groups address specific educational challenges, such as digital citizenship and STEM education. These groups are composed of representatives from ministries of education and subject-matter experts.
Podcasts and webinars
EUN regularly organises webinars and podcasts that address current topics in education and share examples of good practice.
The Finnish National Agency for Education is a member of the European Schoolnet Steering Committee and actively participates in, among others, the Future Classroom Lab and eTwinning initiatives, the Agile Edu project, and the Agile Collection of Information studies.
