The European Commission has launched an additional application round for Erasmus+ strategic partnerships to respond to the educational challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadline to apply is the 29 October 2020.

We organised an information event on the application round on Tuesday 15 September 2020 at 14.00-15.30. This webinar was held in English. Two slides (20 & 30) were added to the presentation 28 September 2020.

Applications need to address one of these two priorities:

  • ‘partnerships for digital education readiness’ aim to enhance online, distance and blended learning - including supporting teachers and trainers, as well as safeguarding the inclusive nature of digital learning opportunities.
  • ‘partnerships for creativity’ aims to develop skills and competences that encourage creativity and boost quality, innovation and recognition of youth work.

NB! Projects focusing on developing higher education can only be submitted under the first priority (partnerships for digital education readiness). However, higher education institutions can take part in partnerships in other sectors focusing also on the second priority.

The proposed projects will need to comply with the standard rules for strategic partnerships as described in the Programme Guide, with the following exceptions:

  • funding will be limited to EUR 150,000 per year
  • project duration will be shorter than normal, 12–24 months in the fields of education and training

In Finland, total funding for all sectors is about 3,4 M euro.
