Erasmus+ programme’s European Universities develop high-quality education, research and innovations and promote mobility. The university networks engage in close and ambitious cooperation. The goal of the initiative is to promote fact-based economy, employment and welfare in Europe.
In the 2026 application round, higher education institutions can apply for funding for activities within the European Universities network.
The 2026 call aims to offer two years of financial support for higher education institutions consortia that are engaged in an already existing transnational cooperation at institutional level, in line with the strategic implementation of the European Universities initiative.
The budget for the 2026 call is €145.6 million.
Grants are applied for through the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
