Jean Monnet Actions included in the Erasmus+ programme support teaching, learning, research, and discussion about the European Union across various educational sectors. Opportunities are available ranging from general education to vocational education and training (VET) and higher education.

Jean Monnet Actions for higher education

The Jean Monnet Actions in the higher education sector support teaching and research on EU studies worldwide. EU studies refer to teaching, learning, and research about the European Union, its history, objectives, structure, functioning, and/or policies.

Additionally, the actions in the higher education sector aim to act as a disseminator of public diplomacy in relation to third countries by promoting EU values and increasing visibility of what the European Union represents and aims to achieve.

Jean Monnet Actions for VET and school education

In the Jean Monnet Actions for vocational education and training and school education, the goal is to promote understanding of the EU and the functioning of its institutions among pupils, students, teachers, and trainers.

The actions aim, among other things, to develop the capabilities of teaching staff to teach EU subjects, create inspiring teaching methods together, and develop teacher training.

Deadline for applications is 12 February 2025 at 18.00 Finnish time (17:00 CET).

The application process is managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The call can be found in the European Commission's portal under the identifier ERASMUS-JMO-2025.
