EDUFI works with the EU in solving the global learning crisis
EDUFI’s strategy 2024-2027 defines Increased internationalisation and global cooperation as one of four societal impact goals. As a government organisation EDUFI is also committed to furthering the Agenda 2030 and EU’s development policy goals. Together with our national and European partners and as a part of the European community, EDUFI strives to find solutions to the global learning crisis by offering Finnish expertise and connecting the Finnish field of actors to the funding and cooperation opportunities.
We are prepared for a stronger role in partnership with the EU. One concrete example is that EDUFI has applied for a pillar assessed status from the European Commission and is currently waiting for a permission to start the assessment process. EDUFI has already undergone the pre-assessment check in autumn 2022. We view that the Pillar Assessed status communicates the high standard of our processes, expertise and reliability to our partners and stakeholders.
Experienced in the EU programmes’ and initiatives administration
Appointed by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, EDUFI acts as the National Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programmes in Finland. This mandate covers education and training youth affairs, sport and culture sectors. Having versatile expertise under the same roof of EDUFI’s organisation is advantageous in serving our stakeholders. We promote actively Erasmus+ programme’s Capacity building funding that supports cooperation with the partner countries outside the EU.
