Universities outside Finland can apply for financial support from the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) to acquire Finnish study material to support their teaching of Finnish language and culture.

Due to the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian universities cannot apply for support.

The study material can include, for example, Finnish language study books with accompanying resource materials, Finnish literature, books on linguistics or literary science, e-books or games designed for language learning. In general, support is only given for materials that are in Finnish and published in Finland, unless there is a good reason regarding the teaching to use other materials.

Study materials will be donated to the university, not personally to teachers nor students.

After you have been awarded financial support to buy Finnish study material, you can order material to your university from our associated bookshop up to the amount awarded to your university.

The bookshop will send you the material through mail and the invoice directly to EDUFI.
