Nearly 490 Erasmus+ projects were funded from Finland during 2014–2020
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s funding programme for education, training, youth and sport. The current programme period (2021–2027) continues the work of the previous period (2014–2020), during which the total budget of the programme was EUR 14.7 million.
In Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) serves as the National Agency for the Erasmus+ programme. During the 2014–2020 programme period, EDUFI awarded the Finnish higher education sector approximately EUR 113 million of EU funding, supporting the implementation of 488 projects. The majority of these, 447, were projects supporting the international mobility of higher education students and staff. In addition, 41 projects focused on developing education in collaboration with international partners.
In addition to the above, Finnish higher education institutions have participated in 480 projects funded from other sources within the higher education sector. Higher education institutions have also been involved in projects from other education sectors.
