Electronic payments to be introduced on 1 March 2022 in recognition of qualifications

As from 1 March 2022, electronic payments will be used in the recognition of qualifications and the payments will be made in two parts. Previously the customer received an invoice after the decision had been made and sent to the customer.

The customer must pay the processing fee in connection with applying or within 14 days of submitting the application. The processing of the application will not begin until after the processing fee has been paid. If the customer does not pay the processing fee by the due date, the application will expire, and it will not be processed.

When the Finnish National Agency for Education has processed the application and made the decision, instructions for the payment of the decision fee will be sent to the customer. The customer will receive the decision when the decision fee has been paid.

Those who apply using the electronic application form will pay the fees electronically through Suomi.fi Payments.

The changes in the payments apply to applications submitted after March 1st, 2022.
