Ways to demonstrate your competence with Europass

This page gives you examples on, how to create a Europass resume, and what other useful services Europass offers. 

You can create a resume with the Europass tool, found on the Europass portal. Follow the instructions given by the tool and use examples as your guide. You can save your finished resume to your Europass profile or to any of your devices. 

If you have already created a resume using the Europass tool, you can edit your resume by signing in to your profile.

A resume provides information of your:

  • educational history
  • work history
  • language skills
  • and other competences

You can also add skills that you don't have diploma for, such as communicational skills or group-work skills. Europass resume will help you to also recognize and describe your competence and skills, as well as to set goals for learning new ones.

  • Reserve enough time.
  • On your first time, you will need more time to think about your competence and how to best describe it. 
  • Focus on the relevant and express yourself briefly. 
  • Think about what is essential for the position you are applying for: you can edit and update your resume according to that.
  • You can also add knowledge and skills gained through hobbies or other interests.
  • Two pages is usually a good length.
  • You can edit and update your resume at any time. 

 

You can also add other Europass documents or other documents to your Europass profile, to showcase your competence.

You can create your own online portfolio, where you can add information about your skills and interests. You can easily create a resume based on the information on your profile. You can save the resume for yourself or share it by sharing the link to your profile with a sharelink.
