The European Commission has opened an additional call for proposals as part of the measures supporting recovery from the coronavirus crisis. The funding in the additional call will be granted to Erasmus+ KA2 strategic partnerships. The application period ended on 29 October 2020 at 12 noon CET (13.00 Finnish time).  

In Finland, the funding granted to all sectors will total approximately EUR 3.4 million.

Familiarise yourself with the aims of the strategic partnerships

The funding in the additional call for proposals for strategic partnerships will be granted to projects that address one of the following two priorities:  

  • Innovative practices in a digital era 
  • Skills development and inclusion through creativity and the arts 

Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness

Under the priority Innovative practices in a digital era, funding is granted to projects that promote readiness for digital education and support teachers in the development of digital competences. Under this priority, you can propose a strategic partnership in the fields of:

  • general education
  • vocational education and training and
  • higher education.  

Partnerships for Creativity

Under the priority Skills development and inclusion through creativity and the arts, funding is granted to projects that contribute to job creation, sustainable development and social inclusion through the arts.

Under this priority, you can propose a strategic partnership in the fields of:

  • general education
  • adult education and
  • youth.

Award criteria

The Programme Guide contains a description of what kind of activities can be funded in strategic partnerships and descriptions of the objectives, funding and selection criteria of the projects.

The applications will be assessed according to the common European award criteria.

Award criteria:

  • Relevance of the project
  • Quality of the project design and implementation
  • Quality of the project team and the cooperation arrangements
  • Impact and dissemination

Obtain the required identifiers

Before you start to fill in the application, you need an identifier for EU Login. This identifier enables you to log in to the browser-based application form.

Both the applicant and the partner organisations need an OID code (Organisation ID). You can check a previously created OID code from the Commission’s portal for organisation registration or create a new one if you are a new applicant.

Support and training for applicants

We will organise webinars for those who are planning a partnership. In the webinars, participants will learn about the special features and priorities of partnerships and the parts of the project plan. Information about training and events can be found in the event calendar. We will add the material of the webinars to the event pages in the event calendar.

Application and selection procedure

The decisions on the applications will be made by the Finnish National Agency for Education, the Erasmus+ National Agency in Finland, based on the evaluations made by external experts on quality assessment. We will send the decisions to the applicants in December/January and publish a list of accepted projects on our website. The term of the accepted projects can begin between 1 March and 30 June 2021.
