EuroApprentices ambassadors are young people with experience in the Erasmus+ program, having either participated in work-based learning or studied abroad. Our Erasmus+ ambassadors aim to share the experiences they have gained both professionally and personally during their time spent abroad. They also engage in various events at vocational schools as needed. They may participate in different opportunities and give, for example, experience lectures about their Erasmus+ experience.
EuroApprentices increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ program in their own environment, motivating other vocational education students, companies, and other vocational education providers to participate in the program by sharing their experiences of learning abroad and its benefits for personal and professional development.
The Finnish National Agency for Education coordinates the activities of the EuroApprentices network.
In the EuroApprentices project, former vocational education students regularly meet each other and acquire various skills. The purpose is to spread and promote Erasmus+ activities in the field of vocational education. Ambassadors also receive a certificate for their activities. By participating in EuroApprentices activities, former vocational education students expand their networks and also create international contacts. The Finnish National Erasmus+ Office trains ambassadors, who also participate in international network meetings.
In 2017, the national offices of the Erasmus+ program established the EuroApprentices network, consisting of apprentices who have received Erasmus+ funding in vocational education. The EuroApprentices network generally aims to provide learning opportunities for ambassadors, who in turn seek to promote Erasmus+ activities to vocational education students through channels such as social media. Today, the network has members from over ten countries.
Objectives of the LTA EuroApprentices activities:
• LTA promotes the capacity building of Erasmus+ ambassadors in vocational education.
• LTA develops an international network. LTA prepares various perspectives for the future Erasmus+ alumni structure in vocational education.
• LTA strengthens inclusion and diversity in the network.
