The operation of the Resource Centre is related to the digitalisation of education, training and youth activities in EU programmes and projects and the promotion of the EU strategies related to the theme, such as the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027.
The Resource Centre will support the national agencies of all programme countries at the level of the whole EU. It will also work directly in cooperation with the European Commission. SALTO Digital is the first resource centre to operate in all educational sectors as well as in the field of youth, in other words, in five different sectors.
The special priorities in the operation of the Centre include digital competence of young people and adults, digital pedagogy and equipment, digital competence of teachers and personnel, digital and virtual cooperation, and virtual exchanges in EU programmes. In addition, the themes discussed include the influence of new technologies on education, working life and the wider society, and the promotion of programming competence, AI competence and the STEM subjects with the help of EU programmes.
