
You may apply on the course if
- you study Finnish language in a university outside Finland
- you have completed courses in Finnish language during the previous academic year or
have graduated in 2020, and - you have studied Finnish for at least one academic year.
Course level and scope
The level of the course is A1 (European language level) and the scope 3 ECTS credits. The language of tuition is Finnish.
Course content
During the course, you will practise speaking Finnish in ordinary situations and learn about Finnish culture and society.
We will provide approximately 3 hours of teaching and guidance per working day. In addition, you will prepare a course assignment with a pair or in a group and participate in a social programme. Interaction and doing things together are emphasised in the instruction.
Participate in the course actively to get the course certificate. The course will be graded as a pass or fail.
Technical requirements for participating in the course
You will need the following study equipment to be able to participate in the course: a working internet connection, a computer, headphones with a microphone, a device for recording videos and taking photos (e.g. mobile phone) and a web camera for video calls.
