About this LTA
To support the Horizontal Digital Priority of Erasmus+, the “Digital Pedagogy in the Age of AI” LTA brings together 12 National Agencies and 2 SALTO Resource Centres.
Running from 2025–2027 and coordinated by the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Agency under Estonian Education and Youth Board (Harno), the initiative focuses on:
- Strengthening digital pedagogy in schools and VET institutions
- Helping educators use Al meaningfully in teaching and learning
- Building evidence through seminars and study visits (TCAs) that inform practice and policy
Our vision: Future-Ready Teaching
Our LTA aims to empower school decision makers and educators to strategically implement digital pedagogy and AI in education.
By building capacity and fostering a proactive mindset, we will equip teachers and leaders in SCH and VET sectors to confidently integrate AI into their teaching practices.
Through collaboration, awareness raising and data-driven support, we strive to enhance digital transformation, enrich pedagogy, and ensure educators are prepared to thrive in the AI-driven future of education.

In cooperation with SALTO Education & Training and the SALTO Digital Resource Centre. The partnership sits between national and EU levels, with direct connections to schools and classrooms.

Target Groups
The LTA aims to reach three levels in School Education (SE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET):
- Classroom (micro): teachers, digital educators, staff supporting disadvantaged learners, newcomers to Erasmus+
- Institutional (meso): schoolNET leaders, teacher educators, project coordinators, education networks
- System/policy (macro): Erasmus+ National Agencies and their Digital Contact Points.
We aim to:
- Advance digital transformation in schools and VET
- Enrich pedagogical approaches
- Ensure educators are prepared for the AI-driven future
These are Core Activities to ensure successful LTA:
- Research & Reporting: Exploring best practices in digital pedagogy and AI integration focused Erasmus+ projects. Highlighting support gaps and areas of achievement.
- Capacity Building: Expert pool of digital education specialists supporting activity delivery. Meso level focus, upskilling leaders and cascaing to micro levels. Sustained NA-staff support from expert colleagues in TCA delivery, improvement and transfer of knowledge.
- Communication & Dissemination: Promoting innovative practice, and showcasing flagship techniques, frameworks and support.
- Training & Support Events: transnational and national TCAs - seminars, study visits and webinars for different sectors and groups
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Consistent data collection across partnership to review and develop the LTA with continuous improvement towards common objectives.
Roadmap
Year 1 (2025) - complete. Set the partnership's strategic vision and plan; delivered the kick-off meeting and the first TCA.
Year 2 (2025-2026) - in progress. 4 TCAs and study visits delivered to date; national needs study and first learning materials publishing summer 2026; webinars with eTwinning and ETIA running alongside.
Year 3 (2027) - ahead. Remaining TCAs and study visits, full dissemination of results, and the final conference.
