The European Professional Card (EPC) is an electronic certificate proving either that
- the professional has met all the necessary conditions to provide services in a host member state on a temporary and occasional basis or
- the professional qualifications have been recognised for establishment in the host member state.


The European professional card can be used for the following professions: 

  • nurse responsible for general care
  • pharmacist
  • physiotherapist
  • mountain guide
  • real estate agent

The Finnish National Agency for Education processes applications for a European Professional Card from real estate agents and mountain guides established in Finland.
