Erasmus+ opintovierailu varhaiskasvatukselle Espanjassa: Enhancing Early Childhood Education and Care

Opintovierailut ovat tietyn aiheen ympärille rakennettuja 3-5 päivän pituisia vierailuja, joiden aikana tutustutaan kohdemaan koulutusjärjestelmään sekä keskitytään johonkin erityisteemaan. Ohjelma muodostuu luennoista, keskustelutilaisuuksista sekä vierailuista oppilaitoksiin, virastoihin ja yrityksiin. Osallistujia on eri puolilta Eurooppaa, mikä luo hyvät mahdollisuudet verkostoitumiseen. Koulut tai muut yleissivistävän koulutuksen sektorilla toimivat organisaatiot voivat hakea kansalliselta toimistolta apurahaa opintovierailuun osallistumiseen.

Kohderyhmä

The study visit is addressed to participants within the field of school education (pre-primary education, children aged 0 to 6 years) interested in incorporating new perspectives in Early Childhood Education and Care and exchanging and developing good practices.

Opintovierailun kuvaus 

ECEC delivery played a prominent role in the achievement of some of the objectives set in the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (“ET 2020”):

• Improve the quality and efficiency of education and training;
• Promote equity, social cohesion, and active citizenship;
• Enhance creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training.

ET 2020 also supported the achievement of the following benchmark at European level by 2020: at least 95% of children should participate in early childhood education. On the other hand, the Eudydice Report on Early Childhood Education and Care in Europe (2019 Edition) reveals that there is still some way to go before the policies necessary to ensure quality in the key dimensions of ECEC are firmly embedded in all European ECEC systems. Universal access, high quality and integration of ECEC services have not yet been achieved in many European countries. In accordance with all this, it seems appropriate to promote activities where participants can observe and discuss different perspectives and approaches towards a better delivery of all the agents involved in ECEC.

Themes and goals of the event:

Expert presentations on:

• The ECEC model in Spain and Comunidad Valenciana (framework, curriculum, staff education and training, management models, etc.).
• Methodologies, approaches and pedagogical initiatives.
• Learning settings: non-formal learning, children outdoor education, multifunctional spaces, ECEC in rural environments, etc.
• Combating child poverty and social exclusion and providing all children with equal opportunities.

Expected results:

• Get new perspectives and insights from discussions and good practices observed.
• Exchange of experiences.
• Study visits to educational institutions in Valencia.
• Networking and inspirational ideas for future projects.

Programme of event: the program will be available in October. However, participants are expected to arrive in Valencia for registration by 6:00 pm on December, 10th. The TCA will finish on December 13th after lunch. Lunch will take place from 13:30 to 14:30.

Haussa on yhteensä 2 paikkaa suomalaisille yleissivistävän koulutuksen organisaatioiden osallistujille. Erasmus+ -ohjelman kansallisesta toimistosta voi hakea tukea matkakustannuksiin (enintään 750 €). Opintovierailun järjestävä Erasmus+ kansallinen toimisto maksaa ohjelman sekä majoituksen (3 yötä) ja ruokailut seminaarin aikana.
