What specific education challenge is this solution trying to resolve?
The main idea is to increase children's mathematical skills, motivation to mathematics, and to reduce fear of mathematics, math anxiety.
Where does this solution fit into a global or local (digital) educational landscape?
Before the pandemic, 6 out of 10 children and adolescents were not learning the minimum in reading and math, according to UNESCO. The pandemic increased this Learning Poverty from 57% to 70%, globally.
Mathematics skills in evolving countries are in bad shape, and the learning gap is the largest there. We can help at the state level and school level. Learning analytics can be used to see where the gaps are.
We always translate the content into the local language and modify the curriculum locally and culturally. Without adaptation, the solution does not work.
How does your solution work, especially for new users?
First, teachers receive training on how to use the solution as part of classroom education. Students use our platform or learning games for one hour a week, which increases the time spent on studying and improves learning outcomes.
How well-known, popular, or used is the solution in Finland? (To what do you attribute this success?)
70% of Finnish schools use the Education solution.
How safe is it to use this solution?
We have our own person who is responsible for safety and we comply with European regulations. Data is processed anonymously.
