FinCEED – the Finnish Centre of Expertise in Education and Development facilitates deployment of Finnish education sector expertise for the use of developing countries and multilateral actors.

The expert requests can be short-term or long-term tasks and missions, international secondments, or policy support in bilateral and multilateral development cooperation. The Centre focuses on supporting requests in systemic and policy-level development, in areas like teacher training, curriculum development in primary and secondary education, assessment and evaluation and digital learning.

FinCEED receives requests for expertise mainly through the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The advisory board of FinCEED makes the decision on the prioritised requests based on resources available and guided by Finland’s strategic development objectives.

FinCEED recruits specialists for the tasks and missions mainly through an expert pool that will be launched in spring 2022.
