Erasmus+ programme’s European Universities develop high-quality education, research and innovations and promote mobility. The university networks engage in close and ambitious cooperation. The goal of the initiative is to promote fact-based economy, employment and welfare in Europe.

In the 2024 call for proposals, higher education institutions can apply for funding under two different topics:

  1. support for establishing new deep institutional transnational cooperation.
  2. support for setting up a Community of Practice of European Universities alliances.

The estimated budget for the 2024 call is EUR 187.7 million for topic 1 and EUR 1.5 million for topic 2.

The application process is administrated by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission.
