Finnish National Agency for Education collects and publishes annually statistics on mobility of students and staff in vocational education. Data collection concerns all students and staff who study or work among vocational upper secondary qualification. Data collection of mobility in VET has been ongoing since 2008.

The number of mobility periods of students in VET, from Finland increased in 2024, and the number of people going abroad already exceeded 4,000.
9 % of those who started their studies in the same year left Finland for a period abroad.
3,000 teachers and other staff in VET left Finland and 4,300 people arrived in Finland in 2024.
Erasmus+ for VET funded almost 90 % of students' mobility periods in 2024.
Proportion of blended mobility in mobility periods was 8 % from and 11 % in mobility to Finland.
Work-based learning under a training agreement is the most common purpose of students’ periods abroad.
Over 90 % of student and staff mobility is directed towards Erasmus+ program countries.
