EDUFI grants for doctoral students from Ukraine still available

Programmes Higher education Internationalisation Ukraine

EDUFI Fellowship for doctoral students from Ukraine call continues to offer scholarships for doctoral students fleeing the war in Ukraine.

The programme was launched in May 2022 as part of a wider national level action plan to support Ukrainian higher education students and researchers. So far eight doctoral students representing variety of academic fields and hosted by three Finnish universities have received funding from the programme, and the call continues to be open for applications.

The programme is flexible in its approach: all fields of study and all universities from Finland are eligible to apply. The scholarship can be granted both for starting or for continuing doctoral studies. During the fellowship period in Finland the students complete doctoral level studies either to Finland or to Ukraine. In the selection process, priority can be given to candidates who have arrived to Finland after 24 February 2022. However, also doctoral students from Ukraine who have arrived to Finland earlier are eligible to apply.
